Acts 5:29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it. Christians are expected to obey the laws of the land and thereby honor God. However, when the laws of the land contradict the laws of God, Christians can and should disobey earthly rulers. When systems become ungodly and anti-Christian, they are no longer properly representing God and should not be obeyed.
