radio waves cannot travel in a vacuum. rockets do not work in a vacuum, so did they get there and how are communicating.

About as realistic as going to the Moon. NASA then claims "we lost the technology" to return to the Moon... yet, they're talking about going to Mars? Wouldn't you attempt a small colony on the friggin' Moon first, to see how that pans out? How are you going to transport all the food? How are you transporting all the fuel to keep the people warm, since it's supposed to be below 100 degrees!?! What a crock!

Lessee, helicopters stop "flying" at around 15,000' ASL since the rotors can't generate sufficient lift to overcome gravity. Dunno what atmospheric pressure is at that altitude, but it's WAY more than Mars'! You're right, a helicopter on Mars using anything but 50' long blades is a ridiculous notion; rotors on that NASA "Mars copter" would have to be spinning 20,000rpm to generate any lift. Enough to actually fly? Doubt it highly.

No sound travels in a vacuum, thus the thinner the atmosphere the sound transfer is also lower. Supersonic applications are changed. It's a common misunderstanding.
