Working while falling at 17000 MPH

ISS is orbiting at around 250 miles up falling at 17000 MPH in 90 percent gravity and therefore is subjected to drag and friction where it looses 300 feet of orbital altitude daily. Of course all these details are nothing more than fiction as physics doesn’t support it.
