MYLENE FARMER Beyond my Control with Bi-Lingual Paroles & Words 5.28

  - 5:28

Mylene Farmer in performance in 1999 singing "Beyond my Control", translated in English, and subtitled in English and French as well. This song was inspired by, and refers to the Pierre Choderlos de Laclos 1872 book, which speaks of the decadance of pre-1789 France, called "Les Liaisons Dangereuses". The voice of the male you hear is that of America actor John Malcovitch, who played the role of the villain in the the Hollywood adaptation of the book. But, as Mylene's ability to weave multiple meanings is in display here, these words could also be about vampires. Mylene uses the word "Lache" here in two ways i believe; as meaning "coward", and as meaning "let go". Hope you enjoyed this presentation and thank you.
