MYLENE FARMER Dernier Sourire with Bi-Lingual Paroles & Words 3.51

  - 3:51

Mylene Farmer singing her ode to lost family members, "Dernier Sourire"- translated in English and subtitled bi-lingually. Pictures of Mylene are from photo shoots, as well as a Television appearance in 1990, where she sang this song, and a live appearance in 1999. These beautiful lyrics contain an enigmatic feature, in that Mylene switches the nouns of the last line with reverse male and female conjugations. In English, this is not possible unless you are elaborating, but in the Romantic-Latin languages, and German as well, nouns have female or male derivatives. So in the line "Le couteau dans ma plaie", Mylene changes "couteau" to feminine and "plaie" to masculine, when it should be the reverse. During concert appearances, she would sing the grammatically correct conjugations. Thank you. Hope you enjoyed this presentation.
