What is a Variant ? Are you trying to say that a Flu can change itself into another different Flu ? Not possible, because your immune system recognizes it no matter how many times it changes. Two, the Flu virion can't make itself into something differently, because it's not a living entity, it's just a viral code of ssRNA or dsRNA; one or the other. A virion doesn't have a protective shell called a capsid so its very vulnerable to the environment. Just plain water, rain, humidity will destroy it. Sunlight will dry it up. The most you would get from a virion is a Flu, if not, just a Cold. And most of all, there's no such a thing as a vaccine for a cold or a Flu.
