A I is essentially a parrot. It 'knows' nothing it simply recites 'facts'. But even if true, as Henri Poincare put it; a collection of facts are no more knowledge than a pile of bricks constitutes a house. If the facts themselves are bogus, the AI becomes a positive nuisance. It exploits the general public's naivety in believing the AI has any actual understanding of what it is regurgitating. To the computer it is merely a string of zeros and ones, nothing more. Intelligence is in the eye of the beholder as far as machines are concerned. When an AI can summarize the discussion in a chat thread, I might change my mind on the matter. Suckers have been taken in by a pretentious title, outrageous claims and hype. Unfortunately, the purse strings are held by bull-shitters, who are impressed by grandiose claims, rather than dry, sound science. Why else does the headline-grabbing apocalyptic predictions of the climate pseudo-science never lack funding, even though their track record is abysmal?
While they the CORPS., all pollute the worst, even the cities, but now they are blowing up toxic chemicals on purpose, to rob, kill, and destroy, they are doing it not the little guy or cows. Inspite of their atrocities, the Earth recovers, except for where they dump toxic poisons, that have half lives of 100 plus years.
