Every solar farm I've driven by in the past few weeks here in New England has been covered in snow. They must be making such a tiny percentage of electricity that it isn't even worth a few people's pay to shovel them out. The only way solar will become a large chunk of the power grid is if the production is decentralized. If people have meters mith measurements in dollars and cents on their walls, and see them not going up but instead going down, they might be bothered to go get some exercise and pick up a snow shovel.
