Mitt Romney, R-Utah, on whether developing a COVID-19 vaccine within a year or two is a “long shot,” National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci said this timing was definitely not out of the question. “I would think it is more likely or not that we will” get a vaccine within a year or two, Fauci said. He also added that the body is capable of spontaneously clearing the virus, which tells him that “we can stimulate the body with a vaccine that will reduce a similar response.” Leading U.S. health officials on Tuesday appeared before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions to answer questions about safely reopening schools and workplaces. In addition to Dr. Fauci, Centers on Disease Control and Prevention Direct Robert Redfield, Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Stephen Hahn and Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services for Health Adm. Brett Giroir also spoke before the committee. Tony, can I suggest looking into the "isolation" of the virus (i.e. it has never been done). Once you realize that the virus has never been isolated from a human (without monkey stem cells added first, for example), it's a dark rabbit hole down which you'll be led. This virus is lab-created, the vaccine is lab-created, and it is not actually a vaccine anyway. It supposedly tells cells (via mRNA) to create a protein, which the body then mounts a defense against. But that defense is against the body's own cell protein! It will create auto-immune disease in many people. In addition, since the mRNA is lab-created, it can (and I assume, has) be[en] patented. If it modifies human DNA, from a legal standpoint, the body becomes the property of the patent holder. The protein generation instructions in the mRNA cause it to produce a piece of the spike protein that is on the sars-cov-2 virus.
