Altering data is fraud. It is folly to argue against fraudulent data, but the use of surrogate measurements such as satellites, navigational days, snow extent, glacial ice mass, etc is impossible to massage to the fraudulent data set.

7:12; Using a model referenced filter to 'prove' the assumptions made in the model itself is rather like trying to lift yourself off the ground by pulling on your own boot laces. This is probably a consequence of throwing money at the problem - it merely encourages mediocrity.
