Did you really just say Soviet Union invaded Eastern Europe countries in order to keep a buffer between them and Germany? I'm appalled to hear something like this from you. Where do you get your propaganda on this topic? When Russians and Germans shook hands in Poland 1939 and conducted a joint military parade, was that the buffer zone you talk about? That's like saying Russia would invade Canada to create a "buffer zone" from the Americans.

Those occupations were the same thing as Russia is doing right now, back then it was to occupy and Sovieticize those people so that, god forbid, they would still want their nationality back.

I just realized where you got that piece of information from. It's your adjacent video "Banned Oliver Stone Documentary About The Ukraine". Only from what I learnt in the last couple months... it's tough for me to watch longer than 5-6 minutes of it without disputing many things that are claimed. Unfortunately IMO this documentary is at best - misleading. But I suspect it offers a purely pro-Russian propaganda about Ukraine for a Western audience. I'm not going to talk about Yanukovych or Molotov-Ribbentrop. I'll just say about Mazepa, whom Russians treat as a traitor, but for the Ukrainian side he was in fact betrayed by Tzar Peter. I believe Mazepa was Peter's tutor for a large part of his life. Apparently Peter refused (or walked back on his promise) to grant Ukraine independence, and after that Mazepa went on to fight for that goal on his own. The distruction of Ukrainian as a concept was started in those imperial times, and were in full effect in Soviet times. And even now that's Russia's rethoric. And after all those centuries it turns out Ukrainians kept their national spirit regardless. So can there be any wonder Mazepa is a national hero of Ukraine? Actually the story of Bandera draws some parallels but I'll leave that story for another day.

America has hundreds of years of oil, hundreds of years of coal, hundreds of years of gas, is capable of nuclear power, has abundant hydroelectric power - the fact we have high energy prices is ridiculous.

Their statements about e.g. eliminating cars by 2035 are okay to make because they know they won't make it and people will forget. Oh, wait that worked before the internet.....

'Buying cheap energy from the Saudis instead of using Colorado's oil shale" Similarly, instead of investing in modern coal and nuclear power plants, Germany keeps switching off those plants, and buying coal and nuclear energy from neighbors like France. And instead of keeping the price for work in Germany low, industrial work was sort of outsourced to China many years ago. And on top of that Germany follows the delusion of a world without borders, and lets masses of people immigrate into the social security system, which pays them everything, and in which they'll very probably never pay into. German politicians are pretty dumb and self-destructive.

Agreed, and in the meantime anyone who develops a way of running a car on water, or creating an electric car that never needs to be recharged, or an overunity device gets conveniently killed or bought out, since it threatens oil. You literally have to develop it yourself and not tell anyone, so when the power goes out or electric cars run out, since the power is out, you will be fine, and the clowns can keep screwing the people for nothing, but their ego pampering beliefs.

I did not agree with Reagan's decision to buy oil from the Saudi's, for multiple reasons. But at least the policy made sense; cheap energy provided for the next eight to ten years. Current energy policy, if there is one, is unfathomable.
