Paul McCartney has a lot of explaining to do to the US Superior Court of Justice. It is alleged that Paul stole his greatest Beatle composition from his favourite folk song composer. Paul had a reverence for this song long before he was a Beatle which would explain why he deliberately stole it and asserted it to be his own. Much has been written about how the Beatles composed this song in 1966, but Paul insisted to this day it was all his tune, and he did most of the words, although John helped, George adjusted lines, and Ringo chimed in as well. The First 10 Notes of the Folk song are IDENTICAL ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2nuPVTU4Z4 ) to the First 10 Notes of “Paul’s” song. And what Folk song did Paul Steal? ‘Those Were The Days’ composed by Boris Fomin IDENTICAL first 10 Notes to ‘Eleanor Rigby’ This explains why the words and tune of Eleanor Rigby seem a bit disjointed, not a typical flowing Beatle song. Yesterday all his troubles seemed so far away, but now it looks as though they’re here to stay. How Prophetic!
