It's a waste of time, because you will find it cost more overall to extract gold from beach sand than you will ever reclaim. Besides enjoying it as a hobby, it is not possible to support yourself via beach sand.. I know, I use to prospect, had a few mining claims and spent way to much on Gold finding toys.. Never made a profit, and i don't know anyone who did. Most of the sparkling stuff in sand is worthless pyrite and shinny sand crystals.

As a retired gold miner, I agree most people can't find a profitable way to recover gold, if they could, everyone would be doing it. But, mostly because they've used the same old tactics and don't innovate. Gold is 19.3 times heavier than water, pyrite is about 5 or less. Lead is about 11. So it behaves differently when forces are applied to it. If you've only used gravity, like the old timers, you get old results. This uses a low pressure chamber to lift light materials off the gold in a vortex, applying centrifugal force to hold it to the sides to make it stay in the tubing low pressure troughs. The round jar is also applying centrifugal force to spin the gold to the sides and drop to the bottom. It's likely then, you lost 60% of your gold by panning and other novice methods.
