🙏🏼 — Did Jesus ever claim to be almighty God?
At John 10:30 .. What did Jesus mean when he said— I and the Father are “ONE?”
🔹Compare that to 1 Corinthians 3:8
“He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor.” ( English Standard Version )
— It says .. “he who plants and he who waters are ONE”
🔹Is Paul saying .. he and Apollos are the same person?
No .. it says “EACH will receive his wages according to his labor.”
— It plainly means 2 separate people.
👤 Jesus prayed for the unity of his Apostles —
John 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; THAT THEY MAY BE ONE even AS WE ARE ONE.
(“ONE” means united in purpose)
👥 Jesus was here on earth and his Father is in heaven, so he cannot mean that he and his Father are literally one. —
Rather, they are one in purpose, being united.
— Just as a Husband & Wife are said to be “One”
