Ozone is created from the interaction of UV radiation with oxygen. It decomposes back to oxygen, releasing the energy in the infra red, where it contributes to heating of the tropopause. Where the solar flux is low, at the poles, the ozone production is correspondingly low, so there are 'holes' in the ozone layer at the poles. It has nothing to do with human activity.
