This video covers what CD4 and CD8 T cells are and how they form memory responses. CD4 T cells are known as helper cells and aid other immune cells as they remove bacteria. CD4 T cells also activate B cells. Through B cell activation CD4 T cells are responsible for antibody creation (IgG, IgA, and IgE). CD8 T cells are also know as cytotoxic T cells and directly kill cancer cells and virus infected cells. T cell activation begins with expansion and then contraction. T cells that survive contraction are T memory cells and can create T cell clones for years.
