This man is not a biologist, so he gets some things wrong. HCG is human chorionic gonadotrophin; it is a protein produced by the female when she conceives, and it maintains the pregnancy. If however it is injected into her when she is not pregnant, it is seen by her body as foreign, and so she makes neutralising antibodies against it; thus if and when she does become pregnant, her body attacks her own HCG, and so the pregnancy fails. Any substance which attacks sperm via their mitochondria renders those sperm unable to swim, so they cannot swim to the ovum to fertilize it. ALL human mitochondria derive from the female, so it would never be male mitochondria whose absence at fertilization prevented pregnancy; it would simply be that these sperm were unable to swim to the egg, and so fertilization would be prevented.
