A current cancer patient who was shopping for flowers to place on his mother’s grave for the one-year anniversary of her death was viciously attacked and is in critical condition, fighting for his life. Marvin Herring, 53, was leaving a Family Dollar Store last Thursday afternoon when a man followed him out of the store and attacked him in a handicapped parking space. According to police, three men watched Herring purchase items and then leave the store. Once outside, one of the men assaulted the victim, causing him to fall and strike his head on the ground.
