Yes they met in homes, outdoors wherever. Initially in the synagogue but were quickly thrown out and persecuted by the Jews and then Rome itself and the Roman Catholics so basically like Chinese believers today (Of course China is a Vatican creation) . They did not suck up to government but were good citizens except when told you cannot preach or live as Jesus taught. Then they "disobeyed". They spoke when ever they could and spread the gospel and prayed for the sick wherever they were. They did not have all of the copies of the writing of the apostles and disciples or a bible. They had bits and pieces of it wherever the could. These of course were attacked and burnt by Rome. They knew God and died for their faith in Jesus death, resurrection, ascension and the sending of the holy Spirit by Him. (Full Gospel message including baptism) They would not check in, wear masks or get vxxed because they would have seen it for what it was – the beast system and the trumpet of idol worship. They knew the book of Daniel and would not bow down to the idols mentioned because some King told them too as their King was the God of heaven and earth. Their salvation came through Jesus not through the obedience of authorities but they again were the best neighbors and downright honest in all their dealings and prayed for their Kings while being persecuted by the very same kings and authorities.
