RedChina never possessed island of Formosa/Taiwan where a presently elected non-communist Government has been in power since 1945 when Japanese surrendered. The Peoples Liberation Army could not and can not cross the 100 miles or so of wild and unpredictable Pacific ocean called the straight of Taiwan in the face of US Navy opposttion. Red China's naval battle experience is practically non-existent and that is a fatal fact. China itself has a rather unfortunate history of losing naval engagements going back as long as you want to look. Against Japan lost against the Divine wind hundreds of years ago and then again with a larger and equally advanced modern European Fleet of the time (circa 1895) lost to Japan, a country with 1/10th the population of China. This surrendered control of Korea and Taiwan to Japan by the treaty which remained until the end of WW2 when Korea and Taiwan were taken from the Japanese by treaty. Korea was independent and Taiwan handed over to the current Government which included all of China(except Tibet which was independent). I have spent time in Taiwan and Red China and Taiwan is a nicer better run place, with all the attributes of any other advanced independent country. Red China is a polluted shit hole with equally talented people who have been suppressed and starved and slaughtered in the millions periodically since 1949. Seen any covid videos from Shanghai where I used to live? South Korea was flattened as of 1953 and yet is far more advanced in every measurable way then Red China. 11th largest economy in World. Comparing Russia, a significantly more advanced military in most fields than the PLA doesn't help as their navy sucks and has an unfortunate history of Naval ocean losses. Moskova ring any bells? The fact remains that area denial is a US talent over oceans that the Chinese navy is 40 years behind. The Super Carrier Ronald Regan was positioned behind the eastern shore of the north Philippines so that its functional area denial capability would cover Taiwan from the east while Pelosi flew in from that side. Go ahead make my day. Made in China equipment won't work in a war with US Navy they have no chance of crossing that water.
