A general misunderstanding of computers and their limitations are is at the core of climate alarmism.

Linear systems are wrecked by noise, cross-coupling and delay (that's servo-mechanism theory in a nutshell). AI systems are non-linear which renders them even more prone to these disturbances. Unlike linear control theory, there is no supporting mathematical theory covering the dynamics of an AI system when it interacts with the real world. To date AI has been only used in a noise free benign environment. This is an illustration of the AI response to what amounts to system noise. The reason why noise, delay and cross coupling cause a closed loop system to go berserk is because these cause the measured state of the system to differ from its true state and the system responds to what it thinks is the true state. The problems don't begin until we naively try to close the loop and act on false information, and then we will discover our system is seriously unstable and will oscillate out of control from one false extreme to the other. I believe we are beginning to see this at present. Rather than converge on a solution based on sound science we see ever extreme alarmist hysteria countered by complete anti-science flat Earth rubbish.

That AI reply looks identical to a Wikipedia "article."

Ask ChatGPT how it can distinguish false propaganda from truth.

Thank you for the great update on AI. We need to keep reminding people that AI is just an extremely fast computer that relies on data that it is given. As you noted feed propaganda and false data on climate change and all you will get is bad results. I have told friends and others that AI is not the solution to the world problems as it will be biased to help the people writing the programs and feeding the data they want it to use.

I tangled with Kutney on Twitter recently (huge climate fraud push going on there around the latest IPCC propaganda dump and the UN Water Fraud celebration / panic.) I use a memes quite I lot (it's more effective to post memes on Twitter than to start by referencing books) so I guess he thought I'd be an easy mark. The guy's a coward IMO. He's also a liar who likes to gaslight people. So he fits in well with the climate cult.

Excellent points all. ChatGPT is programmed to ignore actual verifiable measured data.
