The Medicine Bow National Forest in Colorado and Wyoming had several large fires this year. This was due to a huge fuel load on the ground after a century of fire suppression. Climate alarmists immediately blamed climate change.

Every year pine trees lose about a third of their needles, which accumulate on the forest floor, and need the smallest of sparks to ignite.

A wonderful example of how natural selection works to increase species fitness by changing the environment to the detriment of competing species. The pines trees are only doing what they evolved over millions of years to do, eliminate the competition. We humans are merely part of the competition for living space and resources.

Forestry management these days seems to involve leaving lots of dead timber on the forest floor. No wonder they burn so well.

When you look at it from the perspective of a pine tree, it is starved for CO2. Fire suppression upsets the natural ecological balance, one we only very poorly understand.

Forgive the Climate ALARMists, they don´t understand nature - They just post insane fantasies on their "smart"phones, sitting in a corner in their APARTments in a downtown somewhere in a blue state. Very beautiful landscapes by the way and nice music too!
