Those people with fancy tin foil hats, believes that not having a tin foil hat is a proof of wearing a tin foil hat. Orwellian double speach. But normal people don't wear a tin foil hat, and don't want to do it. And common people think a kevlar helmet is a better protection than a tin foil hat, and don't want to risc their life in the army on something stupid. Result? Very few new recruits.

Or it could be that people don't want to kill themselves because if you join the military, the first thing they do will jab you. Then there's the communist problem (woke BS). Also, take a gander at the state of the US govt - very few Americans have faith in it anymore, especially because it appears to be hyper-partisan. I would never join the US military for those reasons... because at this point, it is basically joining the enemy.
