The climate records actually show that in January 1950 the temperatures were actually extremely warm. Where I live in Southern Ontario Canada the temperatures were up to 72 degrees Fahrenheit in January. That was 72 years ago and we haven't gotten close to those temperatures since then. New Jersey could have even been warmer than that in January 1950.

Those invested in anthrogenic global warming have had to fabricate a post hoc rational to explain counterfactual evidence that absolutely disprove either the thesis of warming or the ability to predict, or both. In psychology, it is called a rationalization, rather than a coherent, consistent, cogent and logical reason. And if the climate was getting MORE EXTREME, then there would be more droughts, more hurricanes, more heat death and heat disease, more floods, higher winds, etc. In fact, every prediction of warming had either been undetectable, underwhelming, contrary, or revised to fit actual events. Hardly inspiring confidence. And the inability to admit past error is counter to science and exactly consistent with propaganda. And this needs to be addressed by whatever integrity that remains in the scientific community, or it will be eviscerated.
