I hate to burst their bubble, but I get far more gas from eating soy and other beans, and from soy-based proteins than I do from any other food source. Greenhouse gas studies are an excellent source of income from easily-manipulated government officials, as opposed to actually working for a living trying to provide a product which would satisfy customers... and pay you for your efforts. Taking other people's money is thievery unless you're a wealthy elitist.

The methane absorption band is around 8 microns. This corresponds to a black body peak temperature of about 90 Celsius, when the surface temperature is nominally 15 Celsius, well in the tail of the Planck distribution. This is a similar absurdity to the idea of a greenhouse effect due to CO2 on Venus: At the surface temperature of about 740 K, very little energy is being radiated in the 15 micron absorption band of CO2, so how can CO2 absorption be the cause?.
