Before retiring, I worked as a computational chemist for a pharmaceutical company, where I was charged with developing models to explain structure-activity relationships. I would have been laughed out of the room if I had started adjusting the observed activity data to fit my preconceived hypotheses. Good work, Tony, teasing out that relationship between CO2 levels and the amount of adjustment going on. I never saw R2 values that high in experimental data. It screams human intervention.

Tony, I'm impressed by your work but, as someone with a scientific education, and once, briefly, responsible for the funding and programme of the UK's national measurement system' can I ask if you could use the Celsius temperatures? I'm happy with Farenheit myself but I'm 76. Even in the UK most people under 50 tend to use Celsius
