The other answer is that parents take their kids out of those schools and either find another school that will listen to them or do homeschooling, thus depriving those schools of tax dollars being allocated to them because they will have less students. When they are attacked financially and the schools start to fail, these people will be voted out.

The only answer is that people like this woman being interviewed need to run and get themselves on the school boards. Obviously, merely going to meetings as a parent isn't going to change anything because they just ignore what parents say.
