What is a short squeeze? Backstory: A large trading company, called a hedge fund, had a huge amount of short positions on a stock called GameStop (symbol GME). A group, called WallStBets realized this and coordinated to buy positions in the market for themselves, by going long. The result was a short squeeze like nothing we've seen before.
