“We find that whole communities fix their minds upon one object, and go mad in its pursuit; millions of people become simultaneously impressed with one delusion, and run after it, till their attention is caught by some new folly more captivating than the first.” ― Charles MacKay

Hey Tony and Viewers, I have family in the U.K. on a visit for the Christmas period. I was there through a snowy Christmas. (nice) But coming from Australia I was the Sunshine state it was Bracing, I also found two more issues, at 12 noon I was looking at the Sun 2 inches (50mm) above the horizon with my naked eye. Which you can not do in Oz at any time of daylight summer or winter. Secondly I found that the Clouds were so close to the ground when it had snowed it was a little Claustrophobic. Basically if they think they are going to get power from days like that..Just. "Tell them their dreaming." As I said, I live in the land down under. Even so the solar does not make power enough when it is cloudy which has been the best part on 12 months. La Nina? The Tonga Volcano. Also the Southern Antaric Mode (Sam) the Solar Hot water system has been drawing power more days than not this year. Had to pay a bill for the last quarter and expect on again. I have a 6.5kw system. I generate three times what I need. Go figure who is making money on My Owned Solar Systems ( MOSS ) on the roof for short !

Speaking of wind; the noises emitted by my rectum contain more wisdom than ever emanated from Bojo's mouth.

I find that many people don't understand the basic science behind the change of seasons - they also do not understand how powerful the sun is, and how it is the "god" of our climate, or even how plants and trees need and absorb CO2. It's no wonder, because what they are teaching in schools on this subject is nonsense, to say the least. The future is not looking good, my fellow Westerners. It seems most people "drink the Kool-Aid" and would rather believe convenient lies instead of inconvenient truths.

I believe that teaching nonsense as 'science' has merely brought science into disrepute, so that the majority are indifferent to it, and regard it as the domain of stereotypical nerds and geeks. Once the electricity bills start to escalate, common sense will prevail.
